Some conversations are too important to leave unsaid.

Life is complex—but some truths are worth pausing for.

I Have Something I’d Like to Tell You, My Son distils a lifetime of reflections, lessons, and “ah-ha” moments into sixteen short, powerful memos written for a son—and for anyone standing at the threshold of their own journey. What began as a father’s private notes, shaped by experience, hindsight, mistakes, and quiet moments of clarity became a timeless collection of life truths meant to be returned to again and again.

Written with deep love for a son who is neurodivergent and lives with Asperger’s, this book speaks with clarity, sincerity, and practicality about navigating a world that isn’t always built for different ways of thinking. The reflections gently honour individuality, encourage self-trust, and affirm that there is no single “correct” way to move through life—only the path that is true to who you are.

These pages hold the essential ideas that parents hope their children will absorb, yet struggle to express. From discipline and perspective to relationships, authenticity, purpose, resilience, and the wisdom hidden in ordinary days, this book reminds us that the foundations of happiness—our greatest tools to start changing our lives—often hide inside the smallest choices within our control.

Inside this meaningful and thought-provoking book, you’ll discover:

  • Sixteen life truths shaped by real experience, not theory.
  • Encouragement for neurodivergent thinkers to embrace their strengths.
  • Practical insights on character, habits, work, and relationships.
  • Why reflection, consistency, and intention matter more than intensity.
  • How to improve your odds of a fulfilling life without chasing perfection.
  • Gentle prompts that spark deeper conversations between parents and children.
  • A powerful reminder to share what you’ve learned while there’s still time.

Whether you are a father, mother, mentor, educator, young adult, or anyone seeking perspective in a complicated world, this book is for you. Especially if you are part of a family navigating neurodiversity. At its heart, this is a book about connection—about slowing down, paying attention, and living intentionally.

It’s not about winning at life. It’s about living it well—and helping the next generation do the same.
