About The Magic
The Harvard Ink Story
Harvard Ink began as a tiny seed in the mind of a little girl who loved words and writing and used to lose herself in stories of dragons, mermaids, and dashing heroes and heroines.
Once she grew a little, by around 1995, Mel Harvard went on to be a sub-editor and features writer for magazine publishers Republican Press (Your Family, Living & Loving). Moving out into the world of entrepreneurship and business in 1999, she kept her writing passions going by contributing to magazines such as HR Future, Creamer Media, local news and radio media, and more with ventures such as ghostwriting and helping indie authors to get their work online.
In 2019, she went on to create Harvard Ink and was joined in 2022 by business expert Alex Jaggers. Together, they pooled their skills to start growing a small but dedicated and professional writing and manuscript support team.
Since then, this team has grown into a group of well-rounded content development experts. As there is always room for improvement, Harvard Ink’s key focus points for internal learning and development include editing, proofreading, ghost-writing, self-publishing support for new authors, and copywriting for the business world.

What We Do
Writing and producing new books with a full suite of support service
Help independant authors reach their publishing goals.
Getting a book written is not enough. Self published authors realise that writing “the end” is a huge achievement. But really, it’s also only a third of the way to the finishing line.
Not knowing what to do with a finished first draft is a common problem for even a brilliant story. So they sit, gathering dust, waiting for their readers another day.
Self-published writers aren’t experts in book design, nor even editing (yes, really! Really really!), or have the kind of marketing skills to get your book noticed, and into the readers’ hands.
Word-craft and manuscript publishing services to bring your book dreams to life.
Harvard Ink.
We are a growing organisation consisting of a team of marketing experts, artists and designers, seasoned publishing professionals, editors, proof-readers, researchers, copywriters, and ghost-writers.

Gryphon Harvard
Professional Writer, Editor, and Cover Designer
With a diploma in Fine Art, my earliest passion lies in writing. Six years ago, I began expressing this passion more outwardly by doing volunteer work for modding development teams. There, I married my conceptual and editorial skills to their technical prowess, strengthening the lore behind the gameplay experiences they wished to create.
Later, during my art studies, I paid for my bread and butter through ghostwriting, and gained the privilege of teaching and guiding other freelance writers not long after achieving my qualification.
Now, after gaining nearly two years of experience in publishing and writer management and copywriting assessment, I have joined Harvard Ink to offer my expertise to almost every stage of our company’s publishing process — from the cover to the body, to the blurb.
In my free time, I’m usually worldbuilding or fleshing out key villains for my D&D Dungeon Master to use. Otherwise, I enjoy unpacking most media with a well-thought-out narrative element, and I’m often working on ways to improve in key writing skills such as dialogue, subtext, and trope-handling.
